Our games are free to download and free to play. Like most small studios, we need some income to keep making games, so our games include optional ads and optional purchases. We know ads can ruin a game when they are done badly, so here is exactly how we use them, in plain words.
Our promise in one sentence
You can enjoy every part of our games without paying, and you will never see an ad you did not choose to watch during play.
What we do
Rewarded ads are always your choice
A rewarded ad is a short video you choose to watch in exchange for a reward. In our games, a rewarded ad might give you:
- double profit for a few minutes,
- double offline earnings when you come back,
- a short helper boost,
- skipping a short wait.
Before you watch, the button tells you exactly what you get and for how long. If you do not want to watch, you just do not tap the button. Nothing bad happens.
Every ad has a clear way to close
Ads come from Google AdMob. They follow Google's rules, which include a clear way to close the ad when it is finished. If an ad ever misbehaves, please tell us which game it was in and what happened.
Purchases are shortcuts, never walls
Some of our games will offer optional purchases, such as a starter pack, extra cash, or a helper for a while. Our rule is simple: paying can make things faster, but it is never the only way forward. Every problem in our games can be solved by playing, upgrading and making good choices.
When we balance a game, we test what happens to a player who never pays and never watches an ad. If that player gets stuck, we fix the game, not the shop.
Prices and effects are clear
Every boost item says what it does and how long it lasts. Every price is shown in your local currency by Google Play before you pay. Purchases go through Google Play, so we never see your card details.
What we will never do
- No surprise full screen ads during gameplay. You will not be in the middle of landing a plane or serving a customer when an ad jumps in.
- No fake close buttons or tricky layouts designed to make you tap an ad by mistake.
- No ads made to look like part of the game.
- No "pay or lose your progress" moments. Your progress is yours.
- No games aimed at young children. Our games are made for players aged 13 and older.
Why use ads at all?
Making a game takes months of work. A small studio like ours has two choices: charge everyone before they play, or let everyone play free and earn a little from people who choose to watch an ad or buy something. We think the second way is better for players, because you can try the game first and decide for yourself.
We also want to be honest: most small games earn very little. Fair ads help us keep going, fix bugs and make the next game. If you enjoy one of our games, a kind review on Google Play helps us more than you might think.
What data do ads use?
To show and measure ads, Google AdMob uses some information from your device, such as your advertising ID, your IP address and basic device details. Our privacy policy explains this in full, in simple words.
You are in control:
- In many countries, including the European Union and the United Kingdom, you will see a consent message the first time you play, where you choose how your data is used for ads.
- On most Android phones you can delete or reset your advertising ID. Open Settings, then look for Privacy and Ads, or Google and Ads. The exact path depends on your phone.
How we test this
Before every release, we check:
- that no ad appears unless you tapped a reward button,
- that every reward is given after the ad,
- that the game works with no internet, where ads simply are not offered,
- that a player who never watches an ad can still reach the end.
If we ever get this wrong, we want to hear about it. Write to us through the support page.
The short version
Ads in our games are optional rewards you choose. No surprise ads during play, no tricks, and no walls you can only pass by paying. If that sounds like the kind of game you want to play, see our games or join our testers and help us keep this promise.
